WEINGUT GRÖHL
The winemaker family has been living in Weinolsheim since 1625, and is now cultivating around 20 hectares of grape vines in the 12th generation. Sustained environmental protection is always at the center of attention: viticulture is adapted to nature and its understanding of its craftsmanship is subject to the principles of sustainability. In their prime locations in the Hügelland and the Rhinefront, together with nature, they create the best possible conditions for wines that owe their power to the sun and the terroir, as well as their elegance to the refinement of Eckehart Gröhl. In this way, they guarantee very terroirged, characteristic wines and traditional bottle ferries and produce new top quality wines each year.
Fermentation is carried out at low temperatures to preserve the aromas. Their wines enjoy spontaneous fermentation in the wood or stainless steel barrel. Then they lie very long in the extensive Feinhefelager to get more content. The wines enjoy a stress-free processing that you can taste.
All work processes, from the reading to the filling of the wines into the bottles, are carried out in the winery under strict quality control, as the aim is to offer unique and distinctive wines every year.
The success of our work is confirmed by the many awards and awards Eckhart Gröhl’s wines have received again and again.
