LA CAPLANA
Since the last century, the Natalinos have been winegrowers in Gavi and already the Italian freedom fighter Giuseppe Garibaldi is said to have loved their wines.
Their vineyards – most of them planted in the 1960s despite the generally declining vineyards – are located on the slopes and are one of the highest in the region and therefore represent a special challenge that is reflected in their wines.
The exposure of the vineyards in combination with the loamy-white soil and the 40 years old vines give their wines a strong body, intensity and aromatics.
The vineyard Vignavecchia is a special feature. Its old vintages were saved in 1925 by grapevines.
Today’s winery generation impressively combines the family tradition with agricultural and oenological training as well as the most modern cellar technology.
